ALLIUM schoenoprasum ‘Forescate’
Giant flowering chives
A large-flowered selection of Common Chives, forms a low mound of grassy leaves, with rose-purple flowers in late spring. Flowers and leaves are edible. Nice as a cut flower, fresh or dried. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Clumps are easily divided in spring or fall. Deadhead to prevent self-seeding, as they will revert to regular chives. Drought tolerant, deer/rabbit resistant.
