Prefers moist, sandy soils. Drought tolerant. Promptly remove root suckers unless naturalized effect is desired. Fragrant, white to greenish-yellow flowers in late spring, with the male flowers appearing in clusters and the female flowers appearing solitary. This should be a self-fertile cultivar. Edible persimmon 1-2″ fruits mature in fall to an orange to reddish-purple color.
